Jian Yichao's journey to Suzhou

One day in October 2018, Jian Yichao set out on a 16-hour journey by car from Envicool Shenzhen headquarters to Suzhou branch 1,427 kilometers away.In his sixth year at Envicool, he took up his new role at Suzhou Envicool and started a new life.


This is one of his countless journeys after joining the company. At the beginning, he worked in the Test Department, and then in R&D, Process, Production, Documentation, and Item, all the way to a joint leader. For all these years, he has devoted himself to every post with great passion.Every transfer has presented him with all kinds of uncertainties and countless challenges, but he never hesitated and marched forward with an absolute sense of duty.During the two years as the general manager of Suzhou Envicool, Mr. Jian led the company to complete the rapid transformation.


In daily work, he still likes to be addressed as "Jian Gong” (Gong is short for engineer in Chinese). From his perspective, “Gong” represents the pragmatic and hard-working spirit of him and countless Envicoolers.



Stay true to the original aspiration and forge ahead



After graduation, Mr. Jian has worked for state-owned enterprises and Fortune 500 companies successively. However, such a promising career development path didn’t stop an ambitious young man from joining Envicool, a startup at that time.“Back then, Envicool was one of the few national brands in the CRAC business.”He believed he could make a difference.In addition, he met many ambitious, passionate and hard-working Envicoolers.

The reason why he chose Envicool is being able to "fight side by side with a group of like-minded people".




When he first joined Envicool, Mr. Jian started from establishing the Test Department, then served as a joint leader of IDC Department, and later played the leading role in the Item Department, Documentation Department, and Test Department.As long as he was needed, Mr. Jian would try his best to complete the task with a high quality outcome, even working overtime.His presence in the project was a reassurance for his partners and colleagues who all spoke highly of him. Mr. Jian's former supervisor said: "we trust him with every task assigned to him because of his leadership and sense of responsibility.”

Going public at the end of 2016 ushered in rapid development of Envicool.In 2017, various departments proposed to establish the Item Department. At this time, Mr. Jian had already prepared the business and recruitment plan for the propose because he felt obliged to offer such a plan in advance for the sake of Envicool's future development. Therefore, he immediately reported his idea to his supervisor.He said, “Our team values close cooperation. Our duty is to contribute to the team and the company. If I don't do it, my leader will, so it might as well be me.”


Discipline himself by example



In Suzhou Company, Mr. Jian's hands-on approach, hardworking and dedication have always inspired people around him.When faced with a demanding task, Mr. Jian would lead his team to carry out in-depth analysis and review, or to sort out problems and difficulties over and over again on site."As long as it’s the right thing to do, we should do our best to finish it for the best outcome in the end."

In Suzhou, he borne greater responsibilities. The business of Suzhou company was more complicated, along with tricky problems including delivery pressure, customer complaints, and an urgent need for management optimization.Mr. Jian, however, worked at his own pace. He could always find the right way to solve all those problems and gain everyone's understanding and affirmation."If you want to change others, change yourself first. How can you ask others to do something you can't do?"
