Recently, the first independent shared energy storage power station in Shanghai's Jiading Industrial Zone – a 50MW/200MWh project – successfully achieved full-capacity grid connection. Jiading, Shanghai, lies in a subtropical monsoon climate zone, characterized by hot, humid summers and cold, damp winters, with significant temperature fluctuations throughout the year. These conditions pose severe challenges to the environmental adaptability of energy storage systems .

 

Moreover, the three different battery chemistries – LFP, sodium-ion, and semi-solid-state lithium – impose extremely high demands on temperature control precision and uniformity. Each battery type exhibits distinct heat generation characteristics, and temperature variations directly impact charge/discharge efficiency, cycle life, and system safety. Achieving full-scope precise temperature control across this “trinary integration” architecture became one of the core challenges for successful project deployment.
