Project background

Founded in 1906 and located in Changsha, Xiangya Hospital of Central South University is a large-scale Class-A Grade-3 (top level in China) general hospital affiliated to Central South University and is one of the earliest western medicine hospitals in China.

With a complete set of disciplines and strong technical strength, it ranks top among national medical and health institutions. It has 3,500 beds registered and 88 clinical and medical technology departments and sub-specialty departments.

Xiangya has the first TomoTherapy system (TOMO Therapy) in Hunan Province. As the most advanced radiotherapy system in the world at present, TOMO Therapy is known as the “sharp weapon” of tumors with its precise targeting, effective therapeutic effect, reduced treatment time and few side effects.

To provide an efficient operation environment for TOMO Therapy, Xiangya Hospital cooperated with Envicool and introduced Envicool’s CyberMate series high precision air conditioners for laboratories to comprehensively control the temperature and humidity of the space where TOMO Therapy is located.
