Every step is a challenge
Specialized vocabulary related to air conditioning is a huge challenge for overseas sales to better understand the products we sell.
Diana, who speaks English very fluently, spent a lot of time and energy in studying when she first transferred to the Overseas Department.
"I sorted out all the specialized vocabulary in the user manuals, instructions and emails and then went through them again and again."
Two months after her transfer, she went to an Asian country for a business trip with her supervisor and was trusted with interpreting.
When interviewed about that trip, she bluntly said that she couldn't believe that her supervisor would appoint a rookie as the interpreter.
"During the meeting, the customer mentioned battery. I didn't get it with the customer's accent, so I said sorry and asked the customer to say it again."She talked calmly about an embarrassing moment.
"Like everyone else, I have also been very cautious and afraid to ask the stupid question. I am quite grateful that Envicool trusts me with such an important task."
Whether it is the first time to do translation, or a solo business trip, or face-to-face communication with clients, it is a huge test for new people. But Diana always had a knack for coping, and it worked.
For a newcomer, it's very challenging to interpret for the first time, go on a business trip alone, or communicate with customers face to face.
But Diana can always find a way to tackle the problem."Before meeting with customers, I will make a list of all the questions I want to ask in Chinese so that I won't omit anything."
She is willing to spend her time on the details and work earnestly. When she was on a business trip to Africa alone, she worked during the day and wrote summaries in a mosquito net at night. Sometimes it would take her three hours to write a logical and practical summary.
Now, Diana has grown into a professional who can independently solve problems with calm. But she still thinks work is a journey full of challenges.
She will continue to improve herself and embrace the challenges ahead with great bravery.
Enjoy her life
"They eat directly with their hands, and won't throw away leftovers. Fortunately, we washed our hands before eating."
Diana is no doubt a foodie. During the one-hour interview, she couldn’t stop talking about food, among which, Indonesia's "hand-picked rice" impressed her the most.
"It's amazing how they move their fingers. I tried myself." She also mischievously demonstrated how to eat with her hands.
Overseas sales travels a lot around the globe. For Diana, it's not a problem at all because she loves traveling. The 8-hour trip showed her famous scenic spots in Britain.
Diana loves sports. She often works out in the gym and enjoys her life in her own way.She also likes to use the workout APP when she runs so that she can draw a special map with her own feet.
Do her best at work, and live her life to the fullest. That's Diana, who balances her work and life so well to enjoy every day.Her passion, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality show us what it should be like to truly live your life.
